This chapter is about editing documents.
To open an existing document, choose -> from the main menu. A file selection dialog will appear for selecting an existing document
After clicking on , epcEdit will read the document and display the document content in the document window. When epcEdit loads a document, it parses the document content.
When epcEdit is loading a document, it will scan for a document template (see Templates) that contains style sheet options for the type of your document. If a matching template is found, the style sheet settings will be loaded from this template and used for the layout of your document.
It is possible that you have more than one template that matches the type of your document. In this case, epcEdit will display a dialog box where you can select the template to use.
In the example shown in Figure 3-1, two templates have been found for a document. At this stage, you can decide which template should be used for your document. Selecting a different template can be desirable, for example if you have a style setting where embedded images should be suppressed and a different style setting where they should be visible. You would use different style sheets in these templates and select the desired settings when epcEdit asks for the template to use.
