2.4. Opening existing documents

To open an existing XML or SGML document, choose Open File from the File menu.

A file selection dialog will appear for selecting an existing document. For the purpose of this introduction, we assume that you will open an example document that was distributed with epcEdit. For opening this document, go to the examples directory and select the file example1.xml, then click on the OK button.

After clicking on OK, epcEdit will read the document and display the document content in the document window.
