It is sometimes convenient to create a new template for a document type even if a matching template already exists. By having more than one template for a document type, you can switch easily between different style sheets for a document by just opening another document template.
For example, when this document was written, we used two different templates for the DocBook DTD. One template contained condensed style sheet settings with a minimum of layout information and no embedded images. This template was used for authoring most of the document text. A second template with layout-oriented style sheet settings and embedded images was used for proof-reading and verification of the document images.
To switch to a different document template, follow these steps:
Opening a different document template
Select -> from the main menu.
A template selection dialog will appear where you can select the new template.
Choose the name of the template you want to use and click on the button.
epcEdit will load the new template and apply any style sheet settings from this template to your document.
Note: After opening a different document template, all changes to the style sheet settings will be saved in the template that was last opened.
