4.7. Entity references

Entity references can be inserted automatically or by selecting an entity int he entity manager. They may be displayed either as their symbolic name in the form of &lt; or by a replacement character like '<'.

Text entities can be shown as normal entity references or as expanded text entities where the entity content is enclosed in a pair of text entity tags.
