2.2. The startup dialog

When epcEdit is launched, it displays a startup dialog that offers three options. From the startup dialog, you can

• Open an existing document

• Create a new document

• Open a previously used document.

To perform any of these functions, press the button to the left of the label that describes the option.

The drop-down list beneath the button for opening a previously used document contains the names of the most recently used document. If you like to open one of these documents, please select the appropriate entry from the drop-down list before pressing the Open button.

If you press the Close button, the startup dialog is dismissed without performing any of these functions. To permanently disable the startup dialog, deselect the option Show this dialog on startup before pressing the Close button. You can re-enable the startup dialog later from the Options tab in the Preferences dialog.
